The Next Steps Course will be delivered on Microsoft Teams and is suitable for GPs, secondary care clinicians (dermatologists and plastic surgeons), ANPs and specialist nurses working with skin disease.
This course is intended to help further the dermoscopy skills for those who have already had a basic introduction to dermoscopy and should act as a refresher for those who have been on previous courses, and allow a gentle introduction to the next level of dermoscopy.
It is built on proven methods of teaching which have proved popular and successful and is designed to be interactive, with a strong emphasis on case discussion with presentations and online workshops.
The course material will cover common mistakes made in dermoscopy, terminology and algorithms review, the spectrum of non-melanocytic lesions, lentigo maligna, acral dermoscopy and rarer presentations of melanomas and is supported by a wealth of clinical images.
Despite it being a virtual course, it is designed to be interactive, with presentations and online workshops. Delegates are actively encouraged to participate as much as possible and in view of this, those attending should log on using a device with both camera and microphone facilities.
